Pope and Young or not?

I shot this bull with a rifle, but for reference, I believe he would also be short of P&Y. I had him at about 255".

FWIW, I would call any young 4, 5, or 6 point bull a "raghorn." Last year, in Wyoming, I saw a 6 point that was proportional but the same beam length as a normal 4 point. Still a raghorn.

By your standards I guess your bull is a raghorn, too....

I happily shoot raghorns and cows. Every elk is one to be proud of.

@Caseknife It's just the lighting. The only char there is what I did in the plaque.

The easiest, and probably one of the more common ways to get into the book, is to simply buy an unrecorded rack and claim it as yours. Doesn’t say much about the record books.
