Jared is a great guy and he gave me some clear answers to my “why” questions. If I was being honest, the right side of my brain was looking for specific, “it works better because we do X and Y differently than everyone else” but I think his answers gave me a better macro view of why Tikkas are so popular and effective for backcountry hunters.

He also gives a few hints on things that might be in the pipeline down the road.

Thanks, Cliff.

Some good info there -- though Jared forgot to mention the easily adjustable trigger reach (LOP) on the Sako 90.

Also worth noting that the S20 trigger (which will work on a T3x) has a bolt override that works the same way.

Are S20 triggers available anywhere to buy? If they work on T3x’s I would like to try one.

@MuleyFever they don't, I was talking with a representative from tikka with Jake from unknown at the salt lake show. He was telling me they use close to minimum spec reamers. If that was the reason you could neck size only and get more speed. Velocity usually has more correlation to bore diameter from what I understand.

Good to know.
