Platypus Gravity Works filter question

I run the Platypus gravity works filter system and I just purchased my third new filter. I never used this one, it's still in the package but it ended up in freezing temps in my storage unit. My question may be silly, but can an un-used filter be damaged by freezing? It's never been wet so I'm guessing not. Just noticed it says DO NOT FREEZE all over the box.

I think you’d be fine. Never used and not wet. Zero issue in my mind.

Lotta gallons though my Platypus gravity fed bag and n all kinds of temps throughout hunting seasons in Idaho and you should be fine.

Even if its used but completely dried out you would be fine
