Pitching Kodiak canvas tent on concrete slab

I have had the pleasure of starting to build a family retreat / hunting cabin this summer, and as all these things seem to go, have whiffed a few self imposed deadlines. The most important of which is having the space livable for duck camp in a few weeks.

To that end, I’d like to camp inside the shell of the building, but have no good ideas how to stake down my Kodiak canvas tent on a concrete slab. My only idea at this point is the slap down some plywood sheets and lay the tent on top, then screw the tent to the plywood in lieu of stakes (I am not going to drill holes in the concrete).

Has anyone ever done anything differently or have a better idea? As a side note, the plywood is already on site.

Yea was thinking the same thing, just wasn’t sure how well those do with such small d rings to lay on top of. Other thing I was wondering is if cots are heavy enough to hold everything in place, considering that weather will be a non issue 🤷🏻‍♂️

I wonder if you could build a frame from 2x4 or 2x6’s laid flat. Just bigger than the floor but positioned so the D loops could be screwed to the top.
May need some washers so the screw heads catch the D loops.
And if you went with a 2x6 or larger, then you could lay sand bags/cinder blocks/ rocks on them for weight. If needed.

Use rope or cord from your tent grommets to deadman to sandbags, brick, or blocks. I’ve don’t that when I’ve camped in areas I couldn’t get stakes in.

The plywood ain’t a bad idea if it’s thick enough to screw down to.

Why not just throw a sand bag in each corner on the inside? The corners are pretty much unused space anyhow with the angle of the walls.
