Smoking deal if any of you are looking to get into a pellet grill for the summer. I live in ND so had to pay $80 for freight shipping but still can't beat that price for the size and features of the grill. If you don't have Lowe's close to you, look up the NY or TX stores and find the store # and call the store or Lowe's CS they will sell you the grill and freight ship it to you.

That's a hell of a deal but your link is showing $499, am I missing something?
Yes type in a different store number in your area. If nothing comes up check in New York or Texas and you should find some stores that are carrying them and are clearancing them out. Ex. Store #2284 King's Plaza NY

I bought one of those a couple years ago and was so unimpressed with it that I took it back for a refund. It also used an entire 20lb bag of pellets to slow roast a brisket and a chicken. Smoking in my gas grill actually works better.

Well damnit it just arrived today and is sitting in my garage. So I hope you had a lemon, guess I'll see..

I really looked forward to it, I even enjoyed putting it together. Bought one of those Prime Briskets they sell at Costco with all the fat, and couldn't wait for it to be done. It came out grey on the outside and pretty nasty. But I have a buddy that swears by his, so good luck.

I will report back with some meat pics for everyone's enjoyment or horror

I love mine. I've done squirrel, pork, duck, beef, potatoes, jerky, eggs! Works very well. Finding these pics makes me hungry!

Man, I tried like hell to make this work. Between online chat, customer service and calling the store directly, I spent about an hour and got shot down. Refused to ship it to me. Kept encouraging me to use the pick up option and drive from TX to NY to get it. They were dead serious. Lol.

I work at 2726 and seen some on display. These are awesome

Ask for a manager, they will always cave in. Trust me. If that dont work, call in a corporate complaint and that will guarantee ya

I have a lousiana lg700 which is owned by the same company who makes pitboss. When the grill works it's great, however I've had more than my share of problems. 2 new computers and 2 new hot rods and the grill is 2 years old. Stays in the garage all year. I wouldn't buy one again. Trager will be my next purchase.

Traeger will be my next purchase.

Just some friendly advice if you go on any BBQ/Grilling forum or website NOBODY will recommend the Traeger over Green Mountain, Camp Chef, Rec Tec etc. Traeger is kind of like Yeti in the sense they were one of the first ones to come out with the product and you are paying for name vs quality at the same price.

If you can get one for a good deal by all means just don’t count out the other brands that can save you money for the same or better quality.

Call the sales dept. The lady brought up the freight shipping option to me directly. Tell them you want to buy the grill at $249.50 and you’ll pay for the freight shipping.

Was there none in Texas? When I bought mine there were some in the Texas stores.

I have a Treager and a Green Mountain and I would recommend both. Traeger customer service was amazing with an issue I had with my meat thermometer. I called to ask about ordering a new probe and the guy on the phone just sent me the whole wireless thermometer for free. It was way nicer than the the original one I bought.

Here's a prime rib I did a while back on the Traeger.

Did you guys order online or call?

You have to call. I called Lowe’s and got to their sales dept. They have to ask the store if they will allow it first. Maybe I just got lucky and caught someone on a good day.

I called got shut down best they would do is 10% off at nearest store which normal price is $449.im not gonna throw a fit, threaten manager bad pr.... I can see their point. but my nearest store has the 820 pro which has a meat thermometer for $449 not sure if the meat thermometer is worth the bang but... now im kind of committed bought 120lbs of pork butts for my daughters grad party next month that need to be cooked.talked to one guy who has one and loves it another guy said it started his deck on fire ??? who knows best of luck.
