Hello! anybody running a Kifaru gun bearer on the waterproof Arcteryx Naos backpack? I remember there was a mention of this on the now defunct Kifarfu forum years ago..

I could have did this a few months back but I sold my Naos 70.
Buy the universal hip belt strap (large) and you will have zero problems. The top strap will have to be one of ones that goes around the shoulder strap. Kifaru sells both

cool thanks for your response! can I ask why you SOLD your Naos 70? its a legendary pack! only other option I know of is Arcteryx LEAF drypack or Matbock (USA) MR dry bags...especially for when you are packing a packraft. what did you replace your Naos 70 with..what pack are you using now? Thanks for letting me know about the Kifaru large universal hip belt strap!!

It sat in my closet for years collecting dust.
I have an arrakis 40 that I use all the time. I backpack for the purpose of hunting and I don’t haul meat in the bag. I have a series of waterproof duffles. Plus I don't like the hip belt/straps on it to be completely honest.
I run that universal system on my kuiu with the same upper strap as the kifaru model packs. Happy with the setup.

I run MEC Sculley dry duffles with ZERO issues.

roger that..I figured you probably had a waterproof Arcteryx!!! :) I opted for the "Naos" versus the "Arrakis" based on the reviews..maybe I missed something?? I am seriously thinking of pulling the trigger on a Matbock x MR dry bag. I can put my pack AND my packraft etc.. all in one, but I haven't made my mind up yet..btw I have a Kokopelli Rogue packraft and 4 piece carbon fiber Werner paddle set-up, and I like to pack along my Helinox tactical chair one..it was the one made in collaboration with Mystery Ranch..god I love that chair granted it's not the lightest, but it sure is comfortable after you have been hiking in the wilderness all day!!!!
