I've owned a number of "Custom Shop" Busse Combat knives, but ultimately sold them. While I like the idea of INFI steel, Busse is overly focused on brute durability vs actual field use. I do still have one Busse, but it was a gift from a friend (Limited Edition / Non-Custom and rather plain looking).

Got one unknown wood species headed to our archery club's first responder fund raiser.


This other one is for my mom I guess. I had bought the Mule in 2016 and had it engraved with the first grand kids for my stepdad as a father's day gift. As each kid was born I'd steal it from his drawer and get it engraved with the new one. When he was getting close to the end of his cancer journey he had told me he was afraid to handle it and goof it up.


He passed in December of 2024 from a 2020 pancreatic cancer diagnosis. Mom was diagnosed with breast cancer in April of 2025 and caught it early enough that she beat it last winter and just finished up her last rounds of immunotherapy (I think that's what she called it). She retired on Friday, so I figured I would finish the knife up and she can use it for whatever.

I did muck up one and a half letters on the spine, but we can solve that!
