It is Northern NM but no hot springs nearby that I'm aware of. It's close-ish to Questa.

I thought it was close to Taos, looked similar to one id seen.

Kind of difficult taking the pic with my phone, but I'm currently docked in Juneau, AK on a cruise. 10-12 Dalls sheep high on the mountain near our ship. There are others spread out along the hillside but these are grouped, generally in the middle of the picture.

Definitely a bear. I've always been afraid of them, although it would be very nice to have a stuffed bear by the fireplace.
