When my wife and I were in Namibia some years ago, I told my PH that I did not want to hunt near water (nor over feed/bait)...and I didn't (no offense intended towards anyone).

We saw this beautiful impala while on a photo/lunch-break one day...

(I was fortunate to take my impala while on safari a day or two later)

Deer was at big bend National park while hiking with the family. Buffalo in a state park here in Texas, would be cool to hunt one of those guys.

I was on my MTB heading in to hunt and he just stopped and stared at me. Wind was in my face. Seemed way more curious than spooked. 27 yards away.

The TX horned lizard (horny toad) is a threatened species in far west TX/southern NM. Never seen one until this past spring.
