Picatinny to Arca

I have pic rails installed on all of my rifles. I just bought an Arca adapter for my tripod heads and am interested in trying it out for shooting. I'm looking for the best solution to attach a rifle with pic rail to an arca plate receiver on my tripod heads.

American Defense Mfg. makes one with a quick release lever that seems to fit the bill. It would be a simple solution for swapping between rifles versus a semi-permenant adapter that is screwed onto the pic rail.

I'm open to other suggestions, but the quick release option seems ideal. Thanks for the guidance.

I use RRS SC-ARC heads on my bipods and they attach to both picatinny/ARCA. They're also R-Lock compatible which is nice. The SC-ARC Anvil-30 head should accomplish the same thing.

Yes, having a clamp that works for either is a preferable option. RRS, Area419, MDT (i think?), Leofoto, etc all make clamps that work on arca and pic. I'm sure that ADM product would work but it looks tall. I sure wouldn't want it anywhere on a stock fore-arm other than the very front where a bipod would typically go.

RRS anvil works on both pic and arca, actually works better on pic in my experience.

Not a quick release, but this works well on my AR platform for pic to arca. Its fairly low profile too. I actually "won" it in a drawing here, but it's been gtg so far. I'd definitely buy another if needed.

Appreciate all the comments on the Anvil, but I have a lot of $ invested in heads and am not going to take the financial hit to change.

Thanks John, but not what I was after. I need an adapter so that my rifle pic rail will attach to a tripod head that has an Arca female clamp.

It definitely isn't low profile. Maybe a better solution would be to buy multiple semi-permenant adapters that are lower profile and just live on the rifle. Not sure I would mind the higher profile for just target shooting and the occasional hunt where I'm shooting deer and elk from the truck/utv.

Little crow gunworks has a ball head with a mount that holds arca and picitinny. I'm not sure who makes it but I have their tripod that comes with the mount. The mount locks in solid with picitinny. Haven't tried it with arca.

How do you have so much invested in ball heads but not one that has the option for dual attachment? It's pretty ubiquitous at this point on any of the quality heads.

Sell all your $$$ ball heads and purchase the appropriate ones for your task. Or switch your gun rails out for ARCA.

Do you have pic rails mounted near the balance point of your rifle or just at the end of the fore ends?

If you have pic rails near balance point or in front of front action screw, why not just put arca rails instead? If it's out at the tip of your stock, that kind of sucks for shooting off a tripod anyway and I wouldn't plan on shooting in that manner.
