Pic request #2. outdoorsman's stud on a pair of Ultravids.

my binos have lost that "new car smell". i think i am okay with snapping off that end cap.

anyone do this and can post up a pic? i called outdoorsman, and i have mixed feeling about their tip on removing that thing...started with, "you take a screwdriver.."

I went through the same thing, but it was the only way I could find to get it off. I used a fairly sharp pointed flat-tip screw driver and it came off without issue. I did take a couple pulls of a bottle of Jack or 151 prior to doing it which helped give me the nerve in the first place. PM me your email or text and I'll send you a pic.

I can send a pic tonight. Let me know if you still need it by then. It's an uncomfortable feeling pulling it off but it does come off fairly easy. I wrapped part of a towel around mine (to keep from scratching it) and pulled it off with some pliers.

Yes, just a little at a time. It pops off pretty good once it starts to move.

I had no problem using the screw driver. Didn't make a mark on either the binos or cap.
