I have just bought a maven rs1.2 and warne mountain tech rings. Now looking at pic rails. Can’t find the info I’m wanting. Steel vs aluminum. Is the Talley factory one good enough. Just wanting a really solid mount. Looked into bedding but the tolerance of the new rails seem to be pretty tight. Any info is appreciated

Which action are you putting it on? If it is a Tikka, I really favor the rails with a pin. There's a few out there, but I have been happy with Area 419. If it is not a Tikka, I am not as picky. I think Aluminum is totally fine for a rail. I feel better when I bond the rail to the action with Loctite 380. For what it's worth, I never had one come loose or shift that I'm aware of, but it adds piece of mind and is not "permanent" like people think.

It’s a browning xbolt 300wm

I've used Leupold Backcountry rails on X bolts and been happy with them. I did have to shorten the front of the rail on more than one occasion to clear a scope that needed to be pulled back in reasonable height rings. Something to consider when looking, especially with a long action.

This ⬆️

I cut the rail with my portable bandsaw and just sprayed it with cheap black paint to cover the aluminum. I don’t like rails sticking over barrels and it does interfere with some scope bells.
