Nice shot. I haven't perfected the long exposure water shot yet. I might have to work on it and get better this year.
Thanks. 1/8 sec. exposure at the very least, 1/4-1 second is better. Sometimes in the daylight you'll need an ND filter to get to that exposure, even at f22 (or your smallest aperture) and your lowest ISO. Some cameras don't even go down to 100 ISO anymore, which only makes it harder. This one was at ISO 50 IIRC. That shot above was made with an ND filter and I was in a very shaded area to begin with. Of course it goes without saying to pull that off a very good tripod and self timer or remote shutter release are a must.Nice shot. I haven't perfected the long exposure water shot yet. I might have to work on it and get better this year.

That's lush for that country alright. As I was on my way up to Western Kansas, I drove past this rain shower on part of the 6666 Ranch in Texas Panhandle. September 2012 and it had been a good year for rain and the wildlife.View attachment 379693
Back when men were men. Or just plain crazy.
Not all ideas are good ones.
That's pretty wild/crazy/bold/gutsy for sure! I'm assuming that the PH aiming the 470 Nitro Express side-by-side is standing behind the camera-man instead of right behind the archer...if so, then that's the icing on the "bad idea" cake for me!
