What are you all running for the non hunting season? I’m looking to get something to grab quickly and use in the back yard shooting but would also be ok on a range. I hate grabbing my arrows and then laying them on the ground to shoot. I’ve looked around and I like the ideas of the Push delta pocket quiver but don’t like the price. The plastic and kydex pocket quivers seem interesting but my arrows fall out of my pocket, so I’m not sure they would hold very well. And the hip quivers that swing all the over the place don’t seem appealing. Just curious what everyone is running and what the cheap and easy route is.

I think your arrows would be pretty secure with the Bohning pocket quiver in your back pocket.

Cheap tube quivers such as the neet. Loud, bounce around a lot, but serve a purpose.

Then actual hip quivers. Range in price from $75ish to over $200. I have a kifaru quiver, I like it. It's way more comfortable than the more rigid quivers. Several other options that are similar.

You might just want a stool. Depending on what you are calling a range, sometimes it's nice to have something to sit on, if you aren't walking through a course it's not a big deal. If you are walking through a course that has a lot of people, it makes the wait comfortable. The cheap and easy is a fold up dove stool with a plastic tube or pvc pipe taped to an outside leg. Only gets more expensive from there.

What's wrong with a bow quiver?

Nothing is wrong with a bow quiver, I think he’s probably like me and your bow quiver only holds 4-6ish arrows typically and most are building arrows by the dozen. In off season when you step out in the back yard you’re typically shooting all 12 of the arrows you’ve built to test grouping and consistency so you know in a hunting situation you can grab any of the arrows you’ve built and there will be no variation. I like to keep my bow quiver full of arrows minus one and shoot the rest of the dozen to maximize time shooting and most accurately replicate what my bow will hold like in a hunting situation with the quiver only missing one arrow. But I’m with him something would be nice to neatly hold the rest of your arrows especially walking a lengthy 3D course.

Bow quiver plus arrow tube in pack.

For backyard practice, a PBC tube strapped to my bow stand has done great

I bought a kifaru quiver from a member here and really enjoy it at the range. Kuiu has one that looks nice too.

Nothing wrong with it, but never shoot with it on. Its only purpose is to carry broadheads safely to my spot, then they come off. So I don’t shoot with it on.

For 3d- highly recommend the Kifaru. Get it on sale if possible.
Once I bought one, I wear it every time I shoot unless I’m hunting. I hang it in the garage with arrows and release ready to go and grab it and my bow when I head out.

Love my kifaru field quiver. Just 3d printed a separator for it this afternoon too- I think I'm gonna like it even more now.

I had a Marsupial modular quiver. I really liked it but didn't like how low it hung at my side. I regret selling it. Their new tournament quiver looks better though.

I sold it and got the Kifaru field quiver. Honestly not that impressed with it. It rides higher which I like but the internal pocket organization, or lack of, sucks. I bought the 3d printed divider and not a fan of that either. I'm also tired of the accessory pouches working loose and falling off. I can't keep the molle locked in place.

For Tac I stick my arrows in a piece of PVC pipe and stick that in my pack. Works great.

Another vote for the Kifaru hip quiver. I've been extremely pleased with it. It's low profile, holds arrows well, and contains everything I need for a day of shooting (TAC/Hike to Hunt, etc).

For TAC I also just run them in a backpack so I also have room for my snacks and drinks.

The Kifaru seems popular. I lIke the design and look, just seems overkill for my needs. And the price also just seems high. I like the look of the Alpha Male hah pack as well. Similar design. I think both are nice. I just find it hard to justify for mostly back yard shooting.

In doing some looking there’s one called the Hipster by Whiskey City Trad gear. That seem small and compact. Looks like it would do enough for me without all the extra size of the bigger ones mentioned. It’s also cheaper.

I wouldn't say it's overkill. But I'm biased because my wife and both use one.

Typically when I do 3d shoots I carry a pack and the quiver. The quiver does a really good job keeping everything together when you are not shooting. Once loaded, I can leave it as is until hunting season. All I have to do is grab my quiver and bow and go outside.

I got a hip quiver from the The Push archery when they first came out. It was good, but pretty quickly after that - Kifaru came out with their quiver inspired by The Push’s quiver and I’ve been shooting that for years.

The Push has come out with a smaller quiver, and it looks like it’s a smaller and more refined version of their original.

I don’t really need any more quivers, but the Push quiver seems like it’s about the right size for anyone who doesn’t need the size of a full hip quiver but wants a little more capacity for some tools and a couple of other things. It may be less convenient to get anything you need out the quiver pocket if you have it oriented behind you, but it’s probably not that much of an issue. But, it does look like you can orient it on your hip. Also, the quiver uses magnets so you don’t need to thread the quiver through your belt, and they secure your arrows so they don’t fall out or slide around on themselves which is a minor complaint I have with the Kifaru.
