What settings / camera lenses are y’all using for these humming bird photos ?
My parents always get a bunch in the spring and would like to try

I have used a lot of different camera lens combos over the years. Range is the key ingredient, the closer the better. Setting up yard, feeder location to maximize light and preferred background is also important. I shoot mostly with a 7d and 150-600mm Sigma contemporary. I have also had pretty good luck with my Canon 55-250 STM but you have to be very close. This shot was taken with my old 40d and 100-400mm version 1.
