Another Pine Marten. I was set up in a meadow for evening elk photos, this one came in behind me. I heard a robin, then a squirrel panic calling. I turned my camera toward the squirrel sound, and caught this guy checking out a tree about thirty yards away. Two clicks of the shutter and it was gone.

Sunset is at 3:57pm at our house right now (sunrise at 10:11)...we're gaining two and a half minutes of daylight today...whew-hew!!

(This is a Caribbean sunset...early January always makes me think of other places we've visited this time of year)
