My house a week ago today...we had a foot of snow when it stopped later in the day and we lost power for 24hrs. The leaves had not yet fallen from the birches, and a few hadn't yet changed to fall color...about a fourth of them eventually broke at the top from the heavy/wet snow load.

I had just gotten back the night before from a 14-day moose hunt, and I was looking forward to vegging out for the day and unpacking/drying gear outside...nope.
