Photography- one photo a day

Many years ago I held a falconry license in California and thought I was pretty good at identifying raptors. Now, fast forward 40 years, here I am in the desert southwest and I can’t identify this hawk. Immature Coopers hawk?? IDK.

I would say yes.

Lived in Summerville for many years and really miss hearing these things group up sound off during the right time of year.

This is just north of Edisto on a local sea island. Saw four in two mile daylight hike. They were very actively calling just after dark and in the morning. I love how they will answer turkey calls.
