A distant view of our camp on a remote grizzly hunt in western Alaska. On our first night we had an up-wind approaching sow with two cubs abruptly surprised by our camp as they suddenly appeared from the shoreline at very last light.

This photo is not technically very good. I didn't have a suitable camera. It will not evoke much from most viewers, but it does for me. I got to view a wild snow leopard while bow hunting ibex in the Gobi of Mongolia. This photo is priceless to me because of what it evokes. My outfitter said he had a French film maker contact him about filming a snow leopard. He was told it would be very expensive, require a three week booking, and my outfitter told him it was doubtful he would even see a snow leopard!
