It was definitely one of my toughest hunts, weather wise. We had back to back to back storms, with tons of rain, wind, and a fair amount of snow. We saw only two goats (billies), in 11 days, and probably could have shot one, but it was across a drainage that I didn't feel comfortable crossing (very gradient/swift water with boulders and probably about waist deep). The other goat we spotted was around another drainage about 2 miles away by foot, and we were going to make a stalk on it, but then another storm came in and we had whiteout conditions for most of the rest of the day.Great shot. Let’s have a little trip report from Kodiak! I’m headed there tomorrow for a solo archery goat hunt. Spending a week up high.

You sir are hard core. That is some minimalist camping right there. Not exactly a nice summer day neitherIt was definitely one of my toughest hunts, weather wise. There were probably more goats in the area where we were at, but finding them against a white background proved to be extremely difficult. At least I prefer thinking that was the case, rather than it being my old and failing eye site.
