Pennsylvania elk

How did the hunt go?
Got my tag filled at noon the 1st day. The day started with strong winds and snow. By 10 am that died off. The snow stayed the entire day. It was a awesome experience. You have to check in the elk. They weight the animal and pull a tooth. 450 lbs and 10 years old. The drawing for this years tags is August 21 I think.

I’m hanging it up. Just gonna chase critters with a bow around home. Well maybe within 4-6 hours from home

I’ll be applying for my wife and myself. Good luck to all applicants. It’s a great hunting experience

Actually, looks like I'm going to skip this year after looking at the PA hunt dates.
My son has a NM Muley tag at the same time as the Nov. hunt.

Putting in again - got a CO hunt planned for early September so this is just for the heck of it.

I drew a cow tag my first year applying so it can be done gentlemen. I'll put in every year for the rest of my life.

Have always put my wife and kids in. Combined thay have around 100 pp. have to play to win, 04 Pa bull.

Anyone putting in and buying raffle tickets for Pennsylvania? Some of the biggest bulls I’ve ever seen

Been putting in for points each year. Need to do that this weekend thanks for the reminder!

Been putting in the past 3 years. Unsure if I’d go DIY or hire a guide to get me on one. As stated it’s not necessary, but with the odds being against me getting the tag again I’d prefer to see it filled.

This is coming from a PA whitetail hunter with no elk experience to date.

I'm in.
Is the draw in August?
I'll definitely go guided if I ever draw this one.
Most likely a OIL.

Has anyone gone to the expo before? I have been through the area a few times and often thought of running up for it but always falls of the schedule as I am usually prepping for NH bear trip.
