Got a sheep hunt coming up I got a couple merino base layers and I just need a mid layer to wear over top them any time I’m glassing or hiking here n there I’m thinking the peloton 240 but I’m afraid it might be a bit to hot when hiking what’s every ones experience with it?

Couple of recent threads on it. To summarize it’s an awesome piece I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it.

My favorite piece of gear from Kuiu. I use mine when I'm on the move or its too warm for my down jacket. Used it on 2 sheep hunts no and wonder why I didn't get one sooner.

I live in mine. For real active hiking I’d lean towards a silkweight base, if colder, or more measured hiking/stalking, something like FL Aerowool works real well. I tend to sweat more so pure merino is not a great option for me.

It cuts the wind well and has great stretch. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it.

I got a hoodless one right when it came out in~ 2017, great jacket, used it a lot. I wish it didn’t have the thumb slots on the sleeves.
