peax headlamp bracket

I have been using this headlamp for 2 years and really like the battery life and light power but I've broke 2 brackets on mine and am wondering if anyone has had the same problem and if so is there a different stronger bracket out there I can use or a modification I can make? they have sent me a replacement one free which was nice but I'm headed to alaska in september and don't want to have to worry about breaking it out there.
