Peak 44 Bastion Pad Adapter

I’ve only sent out 3 so far, nothing fit up so far but one is probably only now arriving. I’m assuming it’s the same recoil pad, but we should be able to check the profile. I can send you an image file that can printed 1:1 and then wrapped on the black tooth stock to see if they match up.
Would you be willing to share the image file with me? I have a black tooth and would love to do a test fit. Thank you!

Of course. I’m out of town for work, but will be back tomorrow night. I’ll put a 1” reference in there too just to make sure it’s printed at the correct scale.

FYI for the curve. The line is 5” for scale

It’s awesome that you’re doing this for guys, but sad that it’s needed. I just toured the Weatherby factory yesterday and was thinking they really need to change the recoil pad system.

Just fit mine up. Hardest part is getting the old recoil pad off. Everything else was easy. LOP came out at 13-3/4 as requested. Tikka superlite in Bastion 5.36 lbs bare rifle with this adapter.
This looks really good. What is the exact type of recoil pad you are using? Size, thickness?

Today I have a Tikka with Blacktooth stock that I use as a lightweight hunting rifle. It is sub 3kg complete with scope and suppressor. I think it is perfect for mountain hunting, but a little too short LOP for prone shooting.

Now that I see it`s possible to change the LOP, I want to set up my other rifle for prone shooting with a Bastion stock. I want to lengthen the LOP with 35-40mm. Not sure if that is possible with the adapter and a recoil pad, or if I need an extended version of the adapter.

Can you measure from A to B like this picture?
Want to figure out all the details before I order a stock.

@Bbrinks can you ship to Norway?

I just wanted to write a short post that I have one of these LOP extension adaptors from @Bbrinks and it is exactly what these Bastions needed.

Removing the old pad is permanent, as it will get torn up when removed, but it wasn’t as difficult as I initially thought it might. I used a razor to trace along the carbon stock edge and each pass cut a little deeper. Initially, I just tried cutting about 1/8” deep thinking I might be able to slide out the old pad and preserve it. That won’t happen, so just keep gradually cutting deeper and deeper until it can easily tear/break off. Then I used pliers to grab the inside edges of the pad left inside the stock and pealed pieces off the inside of the stock. I then used a dremel to remove the old epoxy to give a flat surface for the adaptor to slide in to, and epoxied the new adaptor in.

This is definitely what the Bastion needed (not as much as a proper recoil pad design to better allow for LOP adjustments, but here we are).
