Before I bought my suppressor I read a lot of posts on here where minimal to no POI shift was observed by folks.
Well, that’s not my experience. I was 6” low and re-zeroed at 200 today.
I then shot at 300 and 400 after zeroing. I’m a full 1.5 MOA low at 300 and 1.25 at 400.
Shooting a Barrett Fieldcraft in 30-06.
Barnes 180 grain Vor-Tx TTSX.
Zeiss V6 scope.

Had higher hopes.

You are hanging a large, heavy weight on the end of pencil thin barrel - why would you NOT expect a signifigant POI shift to happen under those circumstances?
If I asked you " Will hanging a 12 ounce weight off of the end of my rifle barrel change my zero?" What answer would you have given me?
As long as the POI shift is repeatable then it isnt a big deal.

I get that if the barrel was free floated. But, the Fieldcrafts are fully bedded barrels.

I guess I should clarify.

I had to rezero and that’s fine.
But, I find it odd that once rezerod I need an additional 1.5 moa at 300 and 1.25 at 400.
Before it was 2.4 and 5.5.
Now it is 5 and 6.75.
