PayPal payment warning

Had this happen to me recently so I figured I would share and might save someone. I'm also not saying it is a scam yet, but easily could be. Had a person purchase some broadheads and pay via PayPal G&S. Normal transaction, I look into the actual transaction to print shipping label and see it was labeled as "pending". So I reached out to PP and they said payment was made by and "Echeck". Here is their response, DO NOT SHIP UNTIL CHECK CLEARS! the payment shows in your transaction history, you even get the payment notification. But nothing is in your account. It would be a bummer if I shipped the package only for the check to bounce 6 days later. Stupid option for PayPal to even offer in my opinion. Hopefully you find this helpful

"You need first to wait for the eCheck to clear before shipping the items.

Our seller protection protects you when a buyer files a dispute against you when a payment is already been made this means that it is already in your PayPal account.

This is the reason why we inform you about this to not ship the item yet as the payment is not yet available in your PayPal account.

I appreciate your understanding in this matter and for reaching out."

I have been using zelle on another forum - haven't had a problem with it so far
There are ZERO buyer protections through Zelle. The only thing it's good for is transferring $$$ to someone you truly know like close friends and family. If you're receiving funds from someone unknown to you they are the dummies and taking all the risk. Zelle transactions are irreversible. Once you send it it's gone.

Yes, that is true, so I usually communicate with the seller before sending funds, using same email or phone that he has with zelle.
