I agree.

I always tune with a larger fixed head, even if I don’t intend to hunt with it. I’ve never had to make adjustments after that point when shooting other smaller heads.

However, I think it would be cool to run an experiment with a machine (I’m sure someone has). Tune bare shafts and big fixed head. Document the adjustments needed at each step. Then when done compare the POI of various heads, FPs, and bareshafts.

I have done some of that. It eliminates the human variable, but is also only so important because the human is always a variable in archery.

But you can learn a lot about tuning using a shooting machine because it eliminates the worst variable.
