I’ll make this quick since there’s like 10,000 other threads out there around this. Looking for pants; have Kuiu attacks, Prana Zions and some Wrangler ATG ones. The attacks are great but they are incredibly baggy on me and after a few trips out west they are starting to show some significant wear.

So, I see all the reviews of Eddie Bauer pro guide pants (and they’re 50% off right now). My question is this - how durable are they? And how warm? Specifically looking at the unlined ones and just curious is they hold a candle to the attacks at all. We typically do rifle hunts in WY/MT in late October, so obviously it gets brisk.

Have also been looking at Kuhl, OR, etc., etc., but can’t find anything that looks like it doesn’t wear like a house over my legs. Thanks!

Personally my favorite all around pant is the Prana Zion. Both the Zion and the Eddie Bauer's are lighter weight material than the attack. If I size them all the same, I haven't found a significant difference in fit, but I do have to make sure that I get the right size waist (can't be too big) or pants end up feeling too baggy and loose.

Don’t overlook wrangler outdoor. I have tried some UA pants and Prana Zions.

I keep going back to Costco Eddie Bauer pants and wranglers. You can buy 5 pairs for price of 1 pair of big companies pants.

Hard to beat

The EB Guide Pro's are less warm, and less breathable than the attack pants. They're plenty durable though. I hardly wear my attack pants shed hunting or mushroom hunting any more because they get torn to shreds in the midwest multiflora rose and berry bushes. All of my EB and Walmart Wrangler outdoor pants that I wear to bust brush I can still wear to the office. Some have a few snags, but they've held up to thorns waaaay better than the Kuiu's.

I concur!

Take a look at the Kuiu Kutanas, light weight like EB, way more breathable than the attacks, and I’ve been busting through deadfall and sagebrush all winter and spring and they have held up better than the attacks. I love my EB, but these have became my new favorite pant.
