If you're thinking of Hornady there, they don't fit.

I don't understand. I use the set of Hornady bullet and headspace comparators and both sets of inserts fit into the same body that attaches to the calipers with a set screw.

I called Hornady tech support before I bought the headspace set, who assured me they were not compatible.

They did appear different when I looked at them -- but the ID difference played tricks on my eyes. Both bushings measure 0.495" OD.

When did you buy them? The ones I bought last year are different diameters.

I need to load up some 6 creed ammo late tonight anyway, so I'll measure the diameters of both types of inserts and the comparator body I have and post it up here.

Confirming that the Hornady case and bullet comparator collets are the same diameter

Headspace and bullet comparator inserts all measured 0.494-0.495 on the shank and the body inside diameter is 0.500.
