Looking at picking up my brother a good pack for this season. I currently run a Exo 3500 and before that a SG 5900 but I’m 5’10” and he’s 6’5” and 275 pounds. When he tried them they didn’t fit obviously. Is there a better pack for giants thAn others? What are you guys that size running? Thankyou.

Not that size, but have a long torso ... which he probably has as well. He may want to look at Seek Outside packs or contact Kifaru for their custom 28" frame.

I am 6’3” and my brother is 6’5”.

Mystery ranch has an XL frame that worked for him. He also borrowed my kifaru 26 and was fine. Check his torso length before you buy.

We have multiple guys that are 6'5"+ and they run the Stone glacier 6200 with a large belt. A few of the guys are NFL players and everyone knows how big those boys can be. The belt size is really key unless he doesn't like the frame height than the belt doesn't even matter.

I am 6'5 and over 230. I have run an Seek Outside and an Exo K2 5500. The SO fits way better, I had to sell the Exo as it just couldn't get the load lifters high enough.

As stated with others he had issues with the load lifters on his neck with the SG and Exo. Defiantly gonna go with the Seek outside considering it’s American Made. Plus I use their tents. Thankyou for the help everyone.

Im 6'2" 275 and i run a 26 in kifaru frame. I just asked them to add a little more waist strap than normal and they did it for me. works great. they can taker your measurements and add extra strap.

I wanted to add an update to this. I received a Kifaru Reckoning last week and have been using it for training and a few hikes. So far I can say it is the most comfortable of all the packs I have tried. I have no issues with load lifter clearance, the belts is very snug and comfortable. Overall I am very pleased with the fit of the pack.

My son is 6' 5" with a MR Glacier and a 23" torso. The lifters are even with the top of the shoulders. I called MR and they said that would be the case for anyone that size since all of their frames are the same size and sizing is done with various size yokes and waist belts.

Tagged for common interest. I'm 6'4" 260#

I got an Eberlestock J34 "Just One" pack. Seems OK fit, I did take it on a recent Boundary Waters Canoe trip and it performed like a champ on portages, carrying all and everything, and was tough as nails taking all the abuse I could throw at it. But it is a heavy pack.

Looking for the next best thing and reccomendations for future Elk hunt.

Barney Pack would work well for a man that size and be able to take advantage of being able to pack out a house.
