Who carries a lightweight 22 like the Henry Survival or Chiappa Little Badger for small game while out?

I picked up a little badger in 22WMR thinking that it would be awesome, but that little bastard is heavy! I will continue to carry a Ruger 22 pistol for that type of work.

The KelTec CMR30 would make a great survival rifle and if you wanted to go with a pistol instead the KelTec PRM30 is great. I've had my PMR30 for quite awhile and it's not only very accurate but it's a lot of fun to shoot. A couple of spare mags along with one in the gun and you've damn neat got 100rnds of fire power at your fingertips.

If you wanted more compact you could SBR the CMR30 and shorten the barrel. With them having a collapsible stock they already shrink down to 22 inches and if you cut a few inches off the barrel and made it an SBR they'd really be compact.

I've got the ruger 22/45 lite and a thunderbeast on the way for it. the little badger looks like a neat idea though.

Anyone tried to reduce the weight of them? If so, how light were you able to get it?

My daughter's Cricket rifle seems like it would fit the bill, very light weight but only a single shot.

I've been using the Ruger 22/45 lite without a suppressor for several years. Also have an old Ruger single six with some good blue grouse karma but the 22/45 is lighter if backpacking.
