I really like the batwing design of the Kifaru Nomad, seems to be very versatile. Good daypack, and load up a dry bag in between wings for overnight trips. My question is are there other packs on the market with similar design? Love the look of Kifaru but wondering about other possible options for more of a budget.

Eberlestock makes a couple with the bat wing style tubes. I had a Blue Widow for a while. The problem I had, a seemingly common one, was the frames are too short to get much shoulder lift on the Eberlestock packs. pretty stout packs though.

Badlands have packs with batwings also.

That was my thought as well. Badlands 2200s and 2800s have batwings.

Certainly much less expensive than a Nomad, but you get into the buy once cry once thing.

That said they certainly do work and I have hauled critters out with it and it gets it done. As a daypack it works just fine IME.
