Picked up a cheap Cricket 22 Rifle to convert it to a packing rifle with the Ruta Locura PRK kit. This, along with some trekking poles, is my first purchase from this company and I am very pleased with the quality and service. Can't wait to take it shooting!

Skeletonized Stock PRK Specifications:
-19oz total weight for converted rifle with kit
-32 Inch over all length when assembled
-20 Inches long when taken down
-14 Inch trigger pull
-.22 LR
-Uses stock Crickett sights, adjusts for windage and elevation
-Single shot bolt action

I've been wanting to do the same thing. Interested in hearing how it shoots.

Whoa don't cut an inch off the barrel unless you get that baby registered as a NFA item first. Those Crickets come with a 16 1/8'' barrel. You'll be at 15 1/8'' if you lose an inch and have to SBR that thing.

Awesome set-up you have there though, I would look into getting a suppressor and having the barrel of that Cricket threaded. Would be an great grouse gun for camp.

I always see these in the store near my house and never once thought about this as an option. I usually use either my Ruger MKIII Hunter or my Ruger 10/22. This is a great little project and I may have to reconsider this gun.

They've got these kits back in production, but you have to email them. Just passing this along as I appreciate their product! Hoping they will build some more 22 mag kits too.
