I have a MR Guide Lite MT frame pack I use with a Mule/Selway bag depending on day vs overnight hunts.

With a bag, my small treestand sits high and catches brush. Anyone figure out a way to only use the frame and strap their treestand and sticks down?

I don’t carry much in the bag and could get by with pockets, Fanny pack, or a small bag hung on the stand.

Remove bag completely from frame. Strap stand at appropriate height. Strap bag to stand.

Or buy an exo K3 belt and shoulder harness, have a friend who can sew add a couple connection points - leave them attached to the stand and let it be your frame pack.

I’ve only ever used a crewcab for carrying a treestand it worked pretty good. Treestands are just awkward to start with, if I didn’t use a bag and just my MR frame, I’d try and use the two lower straps by extending them and connecting them to the buckles at the top of frame. Does that make sense?

For around 100$ you can get a set of kifaru Duplex shoulder straps and the kit to install them to your stand from Back Woods Mobile Gear. I never had luck trying to strap my stand to my EXO pack due to what you experienced here but the duplex straps work great.

LWCG has some pretty nice straps for $65.

Issue I have with their straps are no padding on your back when carrying and not much padding on the straps themselves. If you carry any extra weight on your stand they are less than desirable imo
