Did you get him from a TIP trainer or was he wild when you got him?Donkeys rule!! I got a blm burro a few years ago. My goal is to have 2 eventually. He packed my bull out last year, just had to make 2 trips. I have had lots of fun working with him and I have no previous equine experience. He is my buddy, I take him for walks everyday I’m home like you would a dog![]()
Tip trainer, the program has changed now to Forever Branded.Did you get him from a TIP trainer or was he wild when you got him?

The bronc halter is epicNo matter what you get, the individual matters. If anyone in you family won't be OK rehoming the animal you get, buy a seasoned packer, some just don'thave the physical makeup or the personality for it.
I like my burro when he have someone to lead him solo, but he doesn't do well in my string of mules. I think 2 burros would be awesome.
I could tie him to a twig and he would just stand there. If he gets tangled in a lead line, he just sits and looks sad. He basically always looks sad, but looks a little extra sad.
Burros need patience and a certain type of training, but many are big puppy dogs. Pedro weighs #400s or so and carries #110 of gear great.
I had llamas previously, they are amazing but don't like you. Renting llamas is very worth it.
