Just got back from my PA elk hunt. Good experience! Took this cow at 280 yards. The 300WM has been pretty good to me this year.

Congrats on a great fall. I’m also in 5B and like to hunt up in 2G. I’ve come to prefer hunting in 2G over the game lands down here in this section.

Same here. Love the big woods. Next year we are doing a rut week up there and I may spend a couple days camping in state forest to make it more like a backcountry trip.

We do a backpacking hunt trip every year and I have a blast doing it. Highly recommend you make it happen. We usually go up the last weekend that Turkey, archery bear, and deer are all still in. Makes for a fun week.
