I have a 98 with 175000 miles on it. Only replaced the starter and that was at 50000 miles. My son will be driving it to high school in a couple years. White regular cab. Bench seat.

I had a '96 and a '98 when I was younger. Both were extended cab with the 2.7 liter engine. Mechanically they were both great trucks. Now that I'm older I need more room and more horsepower.

I love this little truck, im 27 years old and my friends make fun of me for driving it, but I just laugh cause it’s reliable and doesn’t come with car payments!

Laugh all the way to the bank. I love the Toyota’s, I ran around one a lot when I was younger, but growing to 6’5” destroyed my hopes abs dreams of a Toyota

I sold my 2004 double cab about 2 years ago and regretted it ever since. Anyone who knows of a 2001-2004 double cab with low miles (100k and under) send me a message!

I'm 6'6" and have had my Toyota xtracab for 32 years now. I still love every minute of driving it.

Just can’t do it. My wife’s RAV4 is more comfortable honestly, bigger drivers side area. Sticking with the full size

My Xtracab has more driver's side leg room than most vehicles I've ever been in.......except maybe my F-350, and I wear a 38" inseam. I will admit though, my buddy had a regular cab and I literally couldn't even drive it because of how tight it was. Huge difference. I wouldn't doubt it if Toyota started making them tighter with the Tacoma's. I tried to drive a later model one and I couldn't get the seat far enough back.

My dream truck is a turbo diesel Hilux, but Uncle Sam won't allow us to have them....until they become legal it's 1st Gen Tacomas for me.

Fun thread!

I don’t understand, Uncle Sam won’t let us own one? You mean like this one?

Sorry 338edge, not trying to derail your thread.
