If zero retention is a priority, it’s really not overwhelming. At least until these scope companies quietly fix the problem and more scopes can pass a drop test.

You will get a lot of brand worshippers responding but I would eliminate anything that doesn't have a low end of 3x or lower and only consider SFP.
Things happen closer and faster hunting than you predict.

Save yourself alot of grief and frustration. Read through the scope testing and field evaluations here on rokslide and get a reliable and proven scope.
And you have already made a great choice with the tikka so you have already proven you are intelligent.

Call me crazy, but holding zero is an important feature in a hunting scope. Probably the most important feature when differentiating between otherwise decent options.

Problem w that credo is that you can get a S&B for just a couple hundred more.

diesmech can buy the Trijicon for $900 OBO, I went to Eurooptics and a comparable S&B 3-12x50 Zenith is $1530.00, that's more than a couple hundred dollars.

I have 6 Leicas that the rifles they ride on get passed around and treated like rented mules. None have ever lost zero.

I had a Leica ER that failed after 300 rounds of 30-06. Loved that thing - literally could see in the dark. I'm not one to trust stuff that breaks so I sold it. Wish I still had it cause I stepped down to 243.

Mine currently ride on two 308s, three 300wsm, and a 300prc.

There are credible documented reports on this forum of the Amplus losing zero. Which is no surprise because Leica, Swaro, and Zeiss clearly don't give a shit about durability in hard use.

Additionally, unfortunately, it's safe to assume that any scope made for civilian use will lose zero when dropped unless it has passed the drop tests here. They just aren't designed for it.
