Overall better brush gun to hunt Oregon brush country?

Going to repurpose one of my guns for mainly a close up gun in the Oregon coast brush. Range will be from feet to approx 300 yards. Will have the Leupold 1.5*5*20 on it. Remington 700 ADL in 7mm08 with 150eldx or the Tikka T3X in 6.5CM with 142AB. This will be for elk,deer,bear, or cougar. Thanks for your input.
