Show your Tikka ten round groups

Preferred 223 Wylde prefit, 20 rounds with 77 matchburner load from Bone Frog. A tenth more left for this ammo.

And below are couple smaller groups as I adjusted zero. On their own, they aren’t bad per se, but part of the full cone, gotta be happy.

18” 6.5 creed shooting Federal TRU 140 TMK
18” 223 shooting Creedmoor sports 223 77 TMK

Need to do 5, let the barrel cool, and do 5 more. Mirage didn’t help.

Zero check today on three rifles. 10/14/12 round groups all came in at or under 1.0 MOA. All in Rokstoks with various scopes. I accidentally had a .1R click in on my 7mm. Otherwise the entire group would have been .36” left of the shown group. FWIW, I still love that cheap-ass 75BTHP Hornady Black for the 223. It just shoots great for me. I’m consistently .9-1.0 MOA for 10 round groups and 1.1ish MOA for 20 round groups.

Couple non factory 6gt’s. First is a tikka ctr and 26” ibi. It’s onto 1500 rounds or so. Playing a bit with seating depths at 200 yards, center target is my normal depth. I think my cheek weld was causing the horizontal string.

Had another 6gt built on a tikka T3x and 24” benchmark barrel. I had 15 rounds through it then loaded a 9 shot ladder test using 1x fired brass (bottom target). I didn’t want to shoot the 10th round after having ejector swipe on 8 annd 9, and a node just below it. The 9th is the top right flyer, good spot to stop I think.

Top target is 10 shots with new Brass, expanded and fired, I pulled the flyer.

For context to see how wildly accuracy can vary with bullet selection.

Top Left 88 ELD M 5x
Top Middle 80 ELD M 5x (all over page)
Top Right 75 ELD M 5x
Bottom Left 62 ELD VT
Bottom Centre 88.5 LRHT
Bottom Right 77TMK

This is not the first time i have seen a rifle throw the heavier 22 cal elds like shit whilst shooting other options decently from a cip/saami 223 chamber and 8 twist at very low Altitude.

Shot in order listed with no mechanical changes.

Best 10 shot Tikka group for me so far. Factory Tikka 3x Ranch with Lumley pillars Marinetex action bedding. .223 BHA 77TMK’s. SWFA 3-9.
Best I can measure it is 7/8 inch…shot fast off the back porch with front and rear bags.

What's your load and velocity if you don't mind me asking? And where are you sourcing brass from up here? I haven't seen much gt stuff at the places I usually look at.

Tikka 6.5prc Hornady factory eldms. Norma target shoots smaller but velocity is really slow. Guess it’s ok, bought for cheap brass to fire form.

With the 26” ibi I’m using 34gr of varget and a 109gr Berger,
IMG_8079.jpeg

And the new build I’m still figuring out a load, only have 35 rounds through it so far. This is the ladder using Varget and 109’s.

Both are using alpha brass, old gt I’m on about 15 firings, no annealing.

I got my brass from Gary at bighorn sales in Houston. Generally he has a bit of stuff in stock.

I have seen a couple places stalking Lapua brass, but with such good luck with the alpha brass I didn’t want to try anything difffent.
