Very well saidWe are at a crux between capitalism and the North American conservation model.
Capitalism will win. I’m just not on the right side of that one. Nor do I fully agree with it.

I would still pay taxes on it, and hopefully they do tooAnd it’s cash money.

No it's not the same as this throws a much much bigger net to catch the biggest fish. Not saying I like it bit isn't an outfitter paying people for info the same as him paying 10 guides to go out and search for a trophy for a high paying customer?
Rather this guy kill a animal versus a certain paid poacher do it instead. So someone gets paid for a big animal and the animal dies.
Or someone poaches the big animal and the animal dies.
At least some young guy can make some money and the animal is killed legally.
Everything hunting related doesn't have to be about making a dollar from the animal being killed. So someone gets paid for a big animal and the animal dies.

Truth, it's the fact the consumer (we in general) have made it that way sadly. I would say it's gotten worse in the last 15ish years.Everything hunting related doesn't have to be about making a dollar from the animal being killed.

Seems like a mighty big assumption that the big deer will get poached. So someone gets paid for a big animal and the animal dies.

Dang. I'm curious on something now.Seems like a mighty big assumption that the big deer will get poached.
Going to have to use this thought process if I ever shoot a two point. “Well, had to shoot him. Would have hated for him to get big and someone poach him. Just doing my duty.”
I’m dense so I guess I don’t know what you mean.Rather this guy kill an animal versus a certain paid poacher do it instead.
You are a mod on a website that makes money off of hunting. Should the owners donate every cent they make above the operating costs? Or is it fine if they make money off of hunting?Everything hunting related doesn't have to be about making a dollar from the animal being killed.

Kind of a joke. I’ll try to put a winky face or something like that in my next sarcastic post. I do believe a lot more big animals get poached than people realize though.Seems like a mighty big assumption that the big deer will get poached.

That would actually be a great separate thread. How many animals are poached and how many of the poached animals are big?Dang. I'm curious on something now.
@mtwarden, what was the average size/sex of poached animals of guys you dealt with?
