Hey guys question about potential bookings. I have found an outfitter I feel comfortable booking with, however they are in Canada'...and with the border being closed for the indefinite future I'm reluctant to tie up a bunch of money and never getting to go.

Should I book with this outfitter and hope for the best or try and find a group in the US (alaska?)

Nick,
Which part of the border? Information I'm seeing is saying the NWT is still closed down?
I'm not trying to argue ..just making sure I'm looking in the correct places.

Doubt you will hunt Canada (especially the NWT or Nunavut) any time soon if not double vaxed or have JJ single vax.

I’m hunting both territories this fall and had to get authorization approval letters from each to go, and I’m a Canadian. Coming from the US I believe the Reg’s would require vaccination proof to enter Canada plus a C-19 test within 72 hrs of border crossing. In addition, the territorial approvals to go there. The Yukon Territory does not require the territory approval letter the last I checked.

Make sure you get the right kind of COVID test, they don’t accept rapid test. The airline is the one that makes sure you have everything before they let you on the flight, went right through customs with no issues

I'm due to hunt Oct 2-10th. Guide already asked for return itinerary to schedule a test for my return.. I took the J&J shot early in July just cause I knew, if Canada opened, it would be a minimum requirement..
