I always have a difficult time wrapping my head around the cost of these types of hunts. These guys paid more for a week of hunting mule deer than I did for a bachelors degree from a state university in the 1990s
I also can't help but think about the fact that $5,800 could easily fetch a hunter 3-5 years of DIY hunting trips, 30-50 days in the field and life experience vs a week. Even if it took you 4 years to kill anything, the amount of skill and knowledge gained during those 30+ days afield would be considerable. I realize that type of hunting isn't for everyone but it's still difficult to wrap my head around.
