What do you all think about the Outdoorsman pack system?

Favorite part about the frame are the knobs at the top which are ideal for draping a rifle sling. I had the optics Hunter and found many of the pockets became inaccessible the more the main bag was filled, same with the rifle carry feature on the back. Ultimately sold it because it was just overall kind of heavy.

I purchased mine a year ago. I used it one time and decided to go with something different. I now use a mystery ranch and I love it. The outdoorsman's optic hunter I had was very nice and was easily adjusted to fit my back and body. the problem I had was it was very heavy and the design was very rectangular and that led to me feeling like I was not able to really pack as much gear in it as I wanted. It is a very well made pack, but does not fit the need that I have in a larger pack. I was wanting something that was easily a backcountry backpacking pack as well as backcountry hunting pack. outdoorsman's did not fill that need for me. I do like the trainer option. being able to add weight to the pack frame that easily is amazing.

I had the Long Range for a couple years. Extremely well built and bulletproof and wasn't a bad pack. But I found it way to heavy, not real load lifters, and wayyyy to many pockets. I wanted lightweight and minimalist design. I went to a Stone Glacier and am extremely happy I did.

I have the long range pack. The pack is nice but I really don’t like the fact that it only has a couple of zippered pouches to put stuff in.

I bought one and used it on some training hikes. Could never get it adjusted where is was really comfortable. The hip belt just didn’t work for me. I still have it as a spare/backup but found Kifaru fits me 10x better. Carries weight much better
