I'm trying to figure out if this is user error, adjustment needed, or damaged in shipping. It did take a hit hard enough to bend the handle. I can't seem to get anything to line up with the pilot no matter what I do with the screws and such, if I press the handle to loosen the grip and guide into the pilot I get uneven trim. Are you sure the case is positioned correctly in the jaws? Looking at the pics, it's hard to tell, but it looks like the brass is not positioned correctly in the jaws.

Without a case in the trimmer, turn the handle and observe the pilot to see if there is noticeable runout.

With as much mis alignment as you are getting, the frame would have to be bent, or you should be seeing some obvious runout of the pilot when you turn the handle, if the brass is positioned in the jaws correctly.

Send it back. Rcbs customer service was pretty good with replacing mine. I sold it for other reasons but they were quick to replace it

Yup I the rotation has almost no wobble to it, just barely noticeable with a heavy eye watching it. I've seated various cartridges and cases multiple times and they're all the same. Here's a 223 obviously the pilot is too big but just for example.

Unfortunately I bought it used. The seller made a claim with USPS but I don't think they'll be of much use. Was your's the same issue by chance?

UPDATE: I don't think I was seating the case correctly, I was pushing it too far down into the jaws. I found if I push it down and give it a wiggle to center up it's aligned pretty well. Testing now but so far with multiple cartridges it seems to be working. I think this was user error.
