Outdoor Research winter sale

Yeah, I glanced at the coldfront hoody there. Looks decent. It has synthetic in the cuffs and shoulders for water resistance, but that makes it a bit heavier. Probably a great option for $100 or less with coupon codes!

Sure a good deal though! I don’t need one but it’s still tempting
I grabbed one (camo) and one (green) for wife. Her OR down coat from '12 is still kicking but zipper needs attention. Will send it back for repair so she has a backup, hard to beat a 'forever' warranty.

GOOD LORD, their sleeves are comically short. Large is 33”?!? Who are they sizing for???
I recently received my XXL down coat and the sleeves are just long enough. I'm going to have a seamstress stitch some wrist cuffs in there, there are none from OR which is a disappointment.

Wife's new coat has them and is all around better quality.

I’m interested in trying this piece…. I notice that there is nothing mentioned under specs for materials used. Any ideas?

Looks like nylon spandex. https://www.outdoorgearlab.com/reviews/clothing-mens/sun-shirt/outdoor-research-astroman-sun-hoodie

There models are not helping sell anything, I’m wondering why they all look so fake or awkward. I will admit some of the OR gear I have from the late 90’s is still going strong so I recommend.

I bought the coldfront down hoody in loden camo
Great fit for husky man. Material and build are nice. Good color for dark timber. Gonna be real nice for early turkey season mornings
