OTC ELK Utah vs Colorado vs Anywhere Else

I'm joking about how someone said our comments were trolling. I thought that was clear, sorry. I was serious about what I said re Utah OTC elk, as well.

The thread is funny to me since we had a quite similar one less than 6 months ago. I'm still wondering why the original parties feel it's reasonable to push back on a chorus of people with exprience saying how bad Utah OTC elk is. At least this poster seemed to come around to it after many comments.

Beaver West unit- State paid who knows how many millions to build a game bridge that goes over the Interstate between the East and West units, then opened the West unit as any bull, immediately outfitters from everywhere showed up, slaughtered the entire elk population and now still sell who knows how many tags to NR for this any bull unit.

Utah is greedy for sure, and keep pushing units with unlimited OTC tags to mostly NR who don't know any better, desperately tying to justify "Conservation". If they keep it up, the unit I hunt will be a fading glory spot as well.

All but one of the comments on the thread have been very helpful and appreciated. I understand the guy was joking about standing on a mountain watching all the elk in Colorado head to Utah. I get the humor in that. I could picture the snowball effect of everyone adding their humor, and before long the guy that doesn’t know crap about Utah (me) doesn’t know what’s good advice and what is humor. I very much appreciate all the replies and PM’s as they’ve been very helpful. Sorry if my comment about trolling offended anyone, was just trying to head it off before the thread went down the rabbit hole. Thanks again for all the good info, it’s been helpful. Definitely know a lot more about Utah now than I did yesterday.
