Interesting, so If I bump the draw weight and point weight ill be underspined and have to buy new arrows. Dang.

Why is it showing the dynamic spine getting weaker with less weight up front on his setup? That's backwards.

They changed the insert from 50 to 9, and he point from 125 to 100, so a 66gg loss results in a stiffer dynamic reaction.

Thanks for doing this. Trying to get my set up perfect for my first archery deer hunt this summer.

PSE Stinger Extreme, 28 inch draw, 62 lb draw weight, Easton 5mm FMJ, 16 grain insert, 100 grain broadhead, 28.75 inch arrows, AAE Max hunter 2 inch vanes 7.4 grains, 9 grain X nock.

I'm thinking it's telling us what spine we would have to use with those specs to spine properly. That's all it could be telling us, since it's going the wrong way otherwise.

Just an FYI, you should change your search filter to "Hunting" instead of "Hunting & Target". Hunting will show the need for a bit more spine in the results.

Curious now that I'm thinking of changing arrows what it gives me. Had to go heavier spine last year with this bow than what I had been shooting on similar setups.

71# measured draw #
29.5" measured amo draw length
BE Rampage 300 cut 26.875 carbon to carbon, 51 grain half-out, 9 grain nock, 3- Q2i X-11 vanes 9.5 grains each (fusion 3" vanes), deciding between 100 and 125 point weight.

youd need to drop down to 125 gr point weight to stiffen up the shaft

looks like 100gr is better for spine

Good call. I like to run mine as both but I suppose most people here are hunting only.

So if I use the full Easton Brass HIT insert (at 75 grains) I would be at ideal arrow stiffness? Still new to this but I appreciate it. Going to download the OT2 trial and play around with it a bit myself.

Ya that would get you close. Still be a little stiff. If they shoot good I wouldn't mess with them though. That much weight will really slow that bow down.

If you upped your poundage to 70 that would be optimum. If you had that option anyhow

Thanks a lot! I downloaded the trial and am messing with it now. Maybe I'll try upping the poundage and seeing how that goes.

Thanks. I thought I would have needed a little more weight up front as short as the arrows were cut down. Can you tell what the carbon length needs to be for 125 grain heads?

Can you input actual spine into the program? I have found that it can be a fair amount of variance in the true spine. Might be I need to invest in getting the program for myself.
