I’m in the market for a outdoorsman compact tripod and got offered a original outdoorsman medium tripod with the single leg lock on each leg. It folds down to 18.5 compacted. Does anyone know what the weight is of this tripod? I searched every review/video and couldn’t find a thing.

2nd question- is there and advantage to the double leg lock compared to the single, besides it getting a little smaller packed down?
Common sense says this single leg lock would be about the same weight as the new double leg lock compact.

I’ve got this tripod. Its 2.1 lbs on my scale. I prefer one leg lock just for ease of use and setting up is fast and easy.

This is my old single lock “standard” tripod. The newer double lock I believe is the same length folded it just gets ya some more height when fully extended. 37” extended with the column down and 51” with the column up on the newer 2 lock standard.

One is quicker and less hassle

Two allows for more of a custom stance on uneven ground.

I have both versions of the outdoorsman tripod
