Start off by saying I am not knocking the product or ever plan to do so. That said, I'm concerned and just planning ahead on my purchases.
Has anyone tried their outer layer in the PNW, wet Alaska or other rainforest like areas? From my understanding they do not have any specific rainshell gear, juat a DWR finish on everything.
Their website says;
Suggested Use:
CHARLIE LAYER: This is your OUTER LAYER TO BE Worn on top of your ALPHA and BRAVO layers. This layer’s primary purpose is to provide superior protection against the elements, whether extreme cold, rain, wind, or snow. All of our CHARLIE layers can be packed down for easy storing and provide quick access features when worn.
I hunt the Idaho Panhandle and to say I've been wet and grumpy more then once is an understatement
Does anyone have first hand experience with this outer layer in wet, rainy climates? Basically I want to know if I need to bring a seperate rain jacket with me at all times or if their clothing can handle it assuming you don't stand out in the rain for hours on end.
Thanks
